Read three columns before you join. Players shows the count at the last refresh; a server at zero may be between wipes rather than dead, so check Last wipe. Next wipe is the dated estimate, not a promise: many roleplay servers skip a scheduled wipe and reset only at the force wipe. Rank orders servers by how consistently they hold players, so a busy server with a low rank is a spike, not a habit. Group limits and gather rates are set by each server's own rules and are not plotted here.

01How is a roleplay server different from a normal Rust server?

The map and the game are the same. What changes is the rule set: players take on characters, build towns or factions, and killing on sight is usually banned. Admins enforce this with plugins and moderation. The server's own rules page or Discord lists what is allowed.

02How often do roleplay servers wipe?

Most list a monthly wipe, and many tie it to the force wipe on the first Thursday of the month. Some wipe fortnightly or weekly. The Next wipe column shows the date each server has set, but a server can reset earlier or later than it lists, so confirm in-game before you commit to a build.

03Can you play PvP on a roleplay server?

Sometimes, but not by default. Many roleplay servers are tagged PvE and restrict player combat to agreed events or designated zones. Others allow raiding only during set hours. Check the PvE tag in the table and read the server rules before you assume either way.

04How do I join one of these servers?

Open the table, pick a server, and connect through the in-game browser using its address. Some roleplay servers require a whitelist, an application or a rules check on Discord before you can spawn. The server's listing or Discord explains the entry step. Player counts on this page update every five minutes.

A roleplay server adds rules and story on top of Rust: characters, towns, factions, and usually a ban on killing on sight. The tag and the name are the only signals the server browser gives, so a server that runs roleplay without either will not appear on this page. The scene is almost entirely modded, and a large share of these servers also carry the PvE tag.

Re-sort by Last wipe to find worlds that reset in the last day, or by Players to see what is busy right now. For region, group size and gather rate filters, use the full server list. If you want servers where PvP is restricted by default, see the PvE list.
